Onam
Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala was celebrated in all its glory by the students and the staff of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor on 25th August. Various programmes were arranged in the school to keep the spirit of Onam intact. Students and teachers were dressed in their traditional best, which added grandeur to the festivity. Pookalams adorned the school stage. Amidst cheers of happiness and excitement, children imbibed the importance of such special days. Onam was celebrated in the Primary and Secondary wing with great pomp and joy. The splendid programmes added colour to the occasion. Thiruvathirakali, Pulikali, Onapattu, Manikya Chembazukka, Chenda melam. It also included Kaikottikali by the boys of Std XII, and Vanjipattu by the girls of Std XII. Smt.Shailaja Haridas, Faculty, Department of Mathematics and Smt Rani T Jacob, Faculty, Department of English sang melodious songs. Smt Saraswathy (Gardener) presented a Nadanpattu. Teachers group Thiruvathirakali was also performed. Payasam sponsored by the PTA of the school was also served to the students as part of the celebrations.
